About Douglas Ede

I have been in the IT industry professionally for over a decade and personally for over 30. I started my career in Desktop services for a contract company assigned to St. John Hospital / Ascension Health which I was there for several years. I was then given the opportunity to be a Junior Systems Administrator for a couple of contract companies for the Drug Enforcement Administration for the Detroit Division. I added to my knowledge of server administration and network administration while I was there. I eventually found a mid-level position at Molina Healthcare working directly for the company. Several years later I found the opportunity to move up in position at Connection assigned to E&R Industrial / Grainger as a Senior Desktop Services Specialist. In 2017 I decided I wanted to attain my degree and started attending Grand Canyon University for my BS in Information Technology with emphasis on Cyber Security. I have completed my degree on January 16th of 2022. I am now looking to move into the next phase of my IT career in Information Security where my passion really is.
