About Douglas Hunter

With 22 years of oilfield experience and over 29 years working in equipment design, automation, manufacturing, sales and corporate development, Doug brings a unique combination of engineering knowledge, product insight, corporate leadership and business development expertise to help Krux execute on its corporate mission and to drive corporate growth. Doug is a Director and has recently assumed the role of Business Development Advisor at Krux after transitioning from Prostar. Prior to Krux, Doug held the position of CTO and V.P. Manufacturing and Engineering at Prostar after the merger of Rangeland Drilling Automation Inc with ProStar Well Services. Doug was President & CEO of Rangeland at the time of the merger. Before starting at Rangeland in 2012 as the VP of Research and Development, Doug was the VP of Operations for Canrig Drilling Technology Canada where he managed the business activities in Canada including continued product development, commercialization and global sales support of the newly acquired assets of Pragma Drilling Equipment Ltd. Prior to Canrig, Doug was the VP of Engineering and a Director of Pragma Drilling Equipment Ltd. where he oversaw all product development, technical services, technical sales, commercialization, and production of Pragma’s product lines. Doug is a career entrepreneur who has co-founded and acts as advisor to several start-ups.
