About Douglas Morton

Through my roles as an IT Leader, physician, and engineer, I have experienced first-hand how medical technology – when designed with the end user in mind - can dramatically increase clinician engagement, quality care, and work flow efficiency.As program lead for the Carle Enterprise Imaging Team, I direct a group in implementing and managing imaging informatics systems such as the PACS, VNA, RIS, dictation, tele-RIS, enterprise viewer, image share system, and work list manager.In addition, I serve as a neuroradiologist for Carle Foundation Hospital, a Level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, I treat patients while holding multiple leadership roles. I have served as head of the neuroradiology division, medical director of radiology for our regional partners in Kirby and Hoopeston, also on the Hoopeston Medical Executive Committee. I currently serve on the Carle Imaging Advisory Group and chair the Carle VNA Governance committee. Prior to becoming a physician, I worked as a research & development engineer for Hewlett-Packard.
