About Douglas Sayers

As a business analyst on the Apollo Project, I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of experts and stakeholders to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services in the UK. I designed, implemented, and evaluated innovative solutions that leveraged data, technology, and best practices to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. I also assisted third-party developers with troubleshooting and kept the project on schedule. My passion for policy making and analysis stems from my previous roles as a policy researcher for the Downstream Fuel Association and a summer intern for the Responsible Car Wash Company. I prepared briefing notes and analysis on policy issues, conducted research on topics of interest to the members, and liaised with multiple stakeholders and agencies. I focused on domestic energy policy, alternative fuels infrastructure, and the energy transition, and developed a licensing scheme for the hand car wash industry. To deepen my knowledge and skills in the fields of energy, technology, and climate policy, I completed an MPA programme at the University College London. I am committed to the principles of equality and accessibility in relation to the transition to cleaner energies and technologies, and I want to contribute to the policy making process that guides this transition. I aspire to join the newest generation of policy makers and analysts who can combat climate change and ensure a sustainable and inclusive future for all.
