Doug Taylor is a Editorial Illustration Photographer that uses all his tools at his disposal in order to create unique images. Doug believes that although a photograph can and should stand out on it's own merit; such as lighting, composition, context,etc, he believes that photographers should be open to all forms of photographic tools. Photographers would often tell you most of their inspiration for photography comes from other famous photographers, but Doug's inspiration mostly comes from some of his favorite artists, writers, photographers and philosophers throughout time."I would like my photographs to be as one of a kind as possible. I want my photographs to be mine and your photographs to be yours". This quote is in the context that photography can be an art and that although we can all photograph the same things, we should be striving to try to be unique in whatever way possible. Although Doug brands himself as predominantly an Editorial Illustration Photographer, Doug is open to almost all styles and classifications.
