About Douglas Tkac

I am a current Junior Accountant at SDC CPA’s. I previously completed my undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University, graduating in Spring of 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. In December of 2022, I earned my M.B.A from Lewis University with micro-credentials in Organizational Leadership & Business Analytics. I utilizes my skills well when collaborating with other people in multiple types of work environments. My four year tenure as a Starbucks barista has taught me to be a caring and helpful asset within the workplace. I also have experience regarding social media management & web design, as I was a Social Media & Engagement Intern for Project My Brother's Keeper (Newark, NJ) in 2021, a non-profit organization that works toward providing housing & supplies to the underprivileged. During this time, I boosted PMBK's marketing efforts prior to the launch of Hope Village, a Newark-based project that provided sustainable & compact homes for residents in need. In terms of analytics and analysis, I also have experience using multiple types data software to visualize and forecast data (Microsoft Office, Python/Anaconda, SPSS) The decision to pursue a career within sports management was formed when I accepted an offer to help manage my local high school’s baseball team at Plainfield East High School. I spent seven months working close to the players and the staff, ultimately igniting my passion to work behind the scenes of sports and to provide leadership and charisma to any organization. My knack for communications comes from the countless hours he spent studying sports through television, radio or through podcasts. Ultimately, I consider myself a leader inside and outside of the classroom, as I am a 6x. Dean’s List member, as well as being a proud recipient of a Tuition Exchange scholarship. I graduated as a member of the Alpha Chi Lambda society, and continue to volunteer to help improve Chicagoland & Tri-state area communities. Besides community service, my hobbies include participating in outdoor activities & introducing myself to new types of art & entertainment (recent music, television productions), especially sports (both collegiate and professional).
