Douglas I. Wall is a Partner/Founder of Williams Chartered, P.A, located in the Orlando area. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law. His area practice is focused in the areas of construction defect litigation, commercial litigation, first party property, sinkholes and professional liability. He has successfully represented clients in litigation in state courts and before arbitration panels. Mr. Wall represents roofers, architects, engineers, general contractors, interior designers, developers, construction managers, subcontractors, custom home builders, and those involved in the design and execution of constructions projects. His experience primarily includes handling complex, multi-party civil litigation in construction defect matters. He also has prior experience handling subrogation claims, insurance coverage disputes, lien disputes, intellectual property registration & litigation, general insurance defense litigation, first party sinkhole claims, and first party homeowner claims. Mr. Wall has been handling construction related matters and professional liability cases since he started practicing law in May of 2002, starting at various Florida law offices in South Florida and now practicing in Orlando/Central Florida (15+ years). He has first-hand knowledgeable in many areas of construction having been raised in a family of contractors/handymen and also working in the construction industry for several years for several trades both prior to and while in college. While in college, a large part of his undergraduate education was concentrated in engineering and the sciences. Prior to attending law school, he spent five years working as a complex, civil litigation paralegal for both plaintiff and defense firms in South Florida. While in law school, he clerked for two years with a general practice firm in Lake City, Florida, while also taking extra classes to receive a certificate of specialization in Intellectual Property.
