I can mediate and arbitrate commercial disputes, as well as appearing in courts, mediations and arbitrations. Arbitration is designed to facilitate the fair and final resolution of commercial disputes by impartial arbitral tribunals without unnecessary delay or expense, by enabling parties to agree about how their commercial disputes are to be resolved and providing arbitration procedures that enable commercial disputes to be resolved in a cost effective manner, informally and quickly. Arbitration gives the parties much more personal input and control into the preparation and running of their case, and can be quicker and more inexpensive than court. • Commercial lawyer: I am a Victorian solicitor, having continuously practiced in Melbourne since 1982. My main areas of work are in commercial litigation and related commercial matters, acting for individuals and small businesses. • Mediator: I am an accredited Mediator, registered under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS). I obtained my Professional Certificate in Arbitration with High Distinction from the University of Adelaide. I have also developed a unique form of community arbitration, initially to be used within the Jewish community, with a complete set of Rules to ensure arbitration awards are compatible with Part 8 of the Commercial Arbitration Act 2011 (Victoria) – Recognition and Enforcement of Awards.
