About Dow Fogleman

Howdy! After 36 years working in the criminal justice system, I am retired now. I was a sex offender treatment provider and licensed professional counselor who primarily worked with criminal offenders. For the last 5 years I had mostly given up group work and was just doing court ordered psychosexual evaluations. I worked as a Parole officer (sex offender officer) for 15 years prior to my counseling work. I also own and manage residential real estate homes and duplexes in the greater Temple, TX area. However, I am phasing out of that now also. We have under 20 properties now (from a high of near 100 in 2010). I have started selling properties to existing long-term tenants and am carrying the note. In my "spare-time," I play golf, my wife and I are in a bowling league, and I like to "piddle" around the house pretending that I know how to fix things. My wife and I also travel somewhat extensively. We recently bought some land (8 1/2 acres) about 15 minutes southeast of Temple, TX and are in the slow process of building a home there. We have 2 children, a son who lives in Austin and works in the field of digital marketing and a daughter who lives in Temple and works as an accountant. Dow also has an older daughter who lives with her husband and 3 boys in Austin, where she works as an attorney.
