About Dr. Shugota C.

 Experienced Healthcare leader with a strong foundation in Medicine (Panjab University Chandigarh) and Hospital Administration (MHA from TISS Mumbai) having more than two decades of on-ground experience in building and nurturing devoted healthcare delivery teams.  In the past two decades have driven leadership level assignments in reputed corporate hospital chains like Fortis Group Manipal Group Asian Heart Institute Chaithanya Group and Cloudnine Group to name a few.  Currently am the Cluster Chief of Medical Services (CMS) at Aster DM Healthcare for their Bangalore Cluster of four hospitals with combined bed capacity of >1000 beds. Am responsible for providing strategic executive leadership in clinical governance senior physician engagement clinical quality and accreditation medical project planning and Clinical Research and academics. Also am the designated Infection Control Head for the cluster. Had earlier been the cluster academic head for various university collaborations DrNB programs and Academic fellowships in many sub-specialties. Here in 2017 I was driving financial restructuring of the 1100-bedded University Hospital key Physician engagement process starting of super specialty departments and compliance to NMC/ MCI norms and regulations.  In 2018-19 I have also been an independent consultant and Board Advisor to many hospitals and medical colleges in South India.  I am also an expert council member at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) USA Guidepoint Global Advisors Infollion Research and Insight Alpha.  In line with my academic fervor I have also been a Senior Visiting faculty in prestigious Management institutes across the country like IIHMR Bangalore and IIM Bangalore. Also conceptualized and taught a niche course “Fellowship in Healthcare Strategy” curated for senior clinician leaders and Medical Directors at Aster Health Academy.
