About Drew Corbyn

I believe off-grid solar is the fastest, most affordable way to bring electricity to people who need it most. It's a child studying longer, a farmer growing more, a family connecting to the world. Making that happen is a complex and fascinating challenge - and one I’m proud to be part of. With nearly 20 years in the off-grid light and power sector, I now lead GOGLA’s Performance & Investment team, helping companies grow and access the finance they need. I’ve worked with businesses, investors, governments, and donors to strengthen markets, protect consumers, and unlock innovation - especially across Africa. I’m particularly proud to have led the development of the GOGLA Consumer Protection Code, a widely adopted framework that promotes responsible business and safeguards impact. I studied mechanical engineering and business at the University of Nottingham and have lived and worked in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
