About Drew Garza

President and founder of the Dented Puck Foundation, our mission is to continue to grow the adaptive sport of blind hockey. By providing in person exhibitions, fielding a team of visually impaired players at charity tournaments, or hosting The Windy City Blind Hockey Showdown we will continue to help these incredible athletes show the world that Hockey IS for Everyone! As a former high-school hockey player who lost vision in my late twenties I thought I was done skating forever. Four years later I was back on the ice playing competitive hockey, and a year after that we hosted our first Windy City Showdown, the first US run Blind hockey games to be broadcast live on YouTube. Since then we've grown into a 501c3 organization that looks to continue to showcase our players' abilities and to allow visually impaired people the opportunity to try the sport for themselves!
