I'm a Software Developer who received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UBC in 2013. I am currently looking for my next development opportunity. I have roughly two and a half years of Mulesoft development experience and have completed the MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4) DELTA and MuleSoft Certified Developer - API Design Associate (RAML 1.0) courses. Here are a few highlights of projects I've worked on in the past two years: Workday to MS SQL database Every day, the integration checks a list of resources which contain a list of parameters. For each of those resources, the integration retrieves Workday data from UBC's REST APIs in parallel and writes it to the MS SQL database. Internal Service Delivery The integration polls a directory via SFTP in Amazon S3 for a CSV file containing Service Provider Invoices and sends them to Workday. After the integration is completed, a summary file is generated and uploaded to S3 which reports the status of each invoice in the file. If the integration fails, additional files containing error messages are also generated. The Mule flow used by this integration is flexible and can send data from any csv file to any destination. Finance REST API Finance is a single API that spans multiple Mule projects. Each project implements REST endpoints which are either used to retrieve or add/update data in Workday. This is done by importing a common project which contains generic code used by all projects. There are two main flows: one for GET and one for POST/PUT. When adding a new endpoint to the Finance API, the developer only needs to set a few configuration parameters and create the dataweave transformation. Human Capital Management (HCM) REST API The HCM API is used to retrieve data relating to Workers, primarily information about the actual worker as well as job position data. This API is also used to add worker certifications to Workday. Workplace Learning (Internal client system to Workday) The integration polls an SFTP directory in Amazon S3. Each line in the file contains a unique ID to identify a person within the client’s organization but not all of the data that is needed is present in the CSV. To get the information, the integration calls the HCM API, another internal REST API, reads from a PostgreSQL database and headlessly downloads a PDF file from the client’s website before combining the data and sending it to Workday. When the integration completes, an email summarizing the status of each record is sent out with a JSON file containing a list of errors attached.
