I am an environmental engineer and chemist with extensive experience in environmental redox reactions. I have a broad knowledge of both standard wet chemical and cutting edge research techniques for examining the fate of metals in environmental systems. My research interests are centered on reduction-oxidation (redox) reactions in natural systems that provide important ecosystem services. Redox processes may remove contaminants from water supplies or regulate the concentration of elements that can be important nutrients or potentially harmful contaminants. My broad knowledge of many spectroscopic, solid state, and wet chemical techniques allows me to use a holistic approach to investigating environmental redox reactions from the macro-scale to the molecular level.
