About Drew Newbold

I have always believed that it takes a delicate balance of art and copy to create campaigns and share ideas. When done correctly, compelling creative can make people stop and contemplate what they’re looking at. It’s often difficult to break through the clutter and visual noise that pollutes the physical and digital pathways we navigate every day. For me, a simple idea that is executed simply is the surest way to turn up the volume on a brand or organization’s message, so that their voice can be heard above the din. I have been in the visual communications field for well over two decades and started my career learning the (now lost) art of the printed word. After a brief stint in art school, I decided to set my feet firmly on the road to becoming a graphic designer, completely unaware of the journey of creative discovery it would take me on. After a few years of learning the craft, in a real-world education type situation, I discovered the cathartic world of art direction and advertising. It was in this industry that my true calling as a creative thinker and producer came into view. I have worked with some of the top Advertising and Marketing agencies in Sacramento, either as an employee or as a "white labeled" creative mercenary.
