About Drew Okun

I am a first-year law student at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, building on a strong academic foundation with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Florida. I am on track to graduate in May of 2028. In law school, I am the 1L Section Representative for the John Marshall Bar Association, the Association of Law and Business and the Jewish Law Student Association. These organizations serve my passions and allow me to be a liaison between my section and the larger school. I also serve on the UF Student Government's Election Commission, helping to ensure the integrity of Student Government elections. Before law school, I gained experience in leadership, service and the legal field. At UF, I served as Chief of Staff for The Big Event, a citywide day of service led by students, and Fundraising Director for the Pre-Legal Honor Society, where I supported pre-law initiatives through creative fundraising efforts. I also held roles in organizations such as Chi Phi Fraternity, Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate, and UF Public Relations Student Society of America's Bateman Competition Team, where I honed skills in event management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement. In the past, I have interned at Richard Celler Legal, P.A, where I collaborated with attorneys and paralegals on case preparation, client communication, and drafting legal documents. This hands-on experience deepened my commitment to pursuing a legal career. Additionally, I broadened my global perspective through a summer study abroad program at Florence University of the Arts in Italy.
