All of the kids on my school bus had a Nintendo DS or DS Lite. My mother said she wouldn't buy me one unless I had the money for it. That drove me into starting my own summer business. I grew up on a small lake in Michigan near a local boat launch. I realized that since I lived close to the boat launch, I could establish a summer business of selling local fishermen bait. I ended up painting a large wooden sign and putting it in the front of my yard. Each case of bait I sold was for $1 and I ended up profiting over $200 by the end of summer. The sweet sense of victory I felt when my Nintendo DS Lite came in the mail was astronomical and I will never forget that feeling of accomplishing what I set out to do. This showed me that I needed to have drive and passion to get the end goal. I found that staying positive about the situation and working hard allowed me to reach my goals. I felt accomplished and it was my "aha" moment. I realized that I needed to be driven and goal oriented to reach that point and that stayed with me. I found later in life how important it is to be able to work and lead teams at my job and in projects. My goals professionally and personally are to work on my development as a sales professional, read more books regarding business, and listen to more podcasts to develop myself as a sales professional. My technical skills include Google Suites, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office, Oracle, Tableau.
