About Drew Stapleton

I am currently enrolled at Wayne State University and getting a masters degree in social work. I am interested in exploring consciousness as a vehicle for improving mental health and human potential, and providing equitable mental health care for people of all backgrounds. As part of my program at Wayne State, I work with the university's counseling and psychological services program (CAPS) and completed an internship at Covenant House Michigan. Before I began pursuing social work, I worked as an account executive at Zoominfo. Zoominfo's continuously and automatically updated database enables sales and marketing teams to execute more effective marketing campaigns and improve sales prospecting efforts with access to on demand direct dial phone numbers, email addresses, and background information. I have also worked on several consulting projects with the Whitten and Roy Partnership. Their approach to sales and management consulting is wholistic, challenging our clients to see their organizations in a new way. Previously, I was an account executive and technical recruiter at Brooksource, where I was responsible for finding top-level IT talent for our clients in the metro Detroit area. For four years prior to that, I worked as an independent campus leader/recruiter and sales representative with Southwestern Advantage. During my time there, I was responsible for running all the aspects of a small business selling educational products. I completed all of the prospecting, approaching, presenting, accounting, inventory, and public relations for nearly clients. After my third year with Southwestern, I became a corporate recruiter and helped recruit, train, and manage a team of 5 sales representatives. I attended James Madison College at Michigan State University and graduated in May 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations. In 2012 I worked in Cape Town, South Africa at a refugee advocacy agency called ARESTA.
