About Drew White

A Grant Writer at The Recruitment Junction - a charity based in Newcastle supporting people with convictions into meaningful paid work. After studying to become a SEND Specialist Teacher (PGCE), I spent 2 years as a SEND Teaching Assistant across various provisions in the North-East. Then in 2021, I had my first stint at The Recruitment Junction as a Recruitment Consultant, and in the following year, tried my hand at my true passion - writing. For 2 years, I worked with companies in SaaS, Tech, Marketing, eCommerce, Travel, Photography (and more) crafting blogs, web content, eBooks, emails, and funding bids. That set me up perfectly for a return to The Recruitment Junction as a grant writer in 2024, where I'm lucky enough to be able to use my unique skillset for such an incredible cause. The Recruitment Junction was launched in 2020 and is an award winning non-profit recruitment agency in the north east of England, exclusively placing men and women with prior convictions into meaningful paid work. Our vision is to see candidates rediscover a sense of purpose through work, becoming role models who drive positive generational impact across their families. In partnering with local businesses to recruit staff from non-traditional talent pools, The Recruitment Junction supports the growth of the local economy, delivers against local skills shortages, lowers regional unemployment, and contributes to a reduction of re-offending.
