About Drew Wright

I am Drew Wright and I am an experienced teacher of middle school students. I hold three clear teaching credentials with the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing: Single Subject English, Single Subject Social Science, and Multiple Subject/CLAD, NCLB compliant. This is my second career following many years in the print advertising industry as a print producer and manager. I enjoy teaching a classroom rich in cultural diversity combined with various learning styles, abilities, and behaviors. I am privileged to provide a vital role in the development of our future leaders and community members as a teacher, mentor, and education facilitator. I aspire to teach students who will remember their experience in our classroom as a positive, safe, and enriching one. I am aware that my behavior is a model for the students I teach. After spending over two decades in the private business sector, I understand the need to train our students to be global and strategic thinkers. For that reason, I am a strong advocate for encouraging and guiding our students to learn academic content that is rich in application, increasingly complex, and rigorous. Students will better understand the world they're inheriting if they are led to gain knowledge through inquiry instead of being expected to acquire knowledge through rote methods.
