About Dries Becker

I have more than 16 years' experience in Biostatistics at a large international Clinical Research Organization (CRO). My degree in B.Com Information Technology set a technical foundation and together with 12 years of experience in Statistical Analysis System (SAS) programming I also have 7 years experience in I-Review / J-Review and completed basic and advance training modules offered by I-Review. I have worked on projects in variety of clinical phases and indications and I have also gained experience in Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) as well as Analysis Data Model (ADaM) and I am CDISC certified in both models. My Honors Degree in B.Com Business Management provides me with a good foundation that I built my managerial skills on, both on a project and human resource level. I have been the programmer team lead on numerous projects that involved a wide scope of tasks that range from customer communication, needs analysis, timeline development, project resource planning, delegating tasks and managing progress, coordinating the involvement of different departments and external vendors, to handling the financial aspects of a project. Many of the projects are multinational work sharing studies involving multiple countries, cultures and time zones where my project management and communication skills proved very valuable in the successful completion of project tasks. I also have 9 years experience in managing employees; it includes activities such as the development of line reports, training and mentoring, monitoring and rating their performance and salary management as well mediation and conflict management if needed. My experience in a wide range of technical, project management and managerial tasks has equipped me with a diverse skill set to make a success of the projects I take on.
