About Dries Dams

Making IT Strategy Work – Without the HeadachesIT strategy isn’t just about choosing the right tools—it’s about creating environments where engineers thrive, innovation flourishes, and businesses evolve. That’s where I come in.As a DevOps & IT Strategy Advisor, I specialize in bridging the gap between long-term strategy and real-world implementation. I work with organizations to: Define a clear IT strategy that aligns technology with business goals. Implement DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Automation to streamline operations. Use frameworks like Team Topologies, Wardley Mapping & Value Streams to drive transformation. Create a culture where engineers feel safe, inspired, and motivated to do their best work. But here’s what truly sets me apart: I make complex topics simple and even fun.Change is hard. People resist it. That’s why I use humor, engaging storytelling, and analogies to turn skeptical teams into enthusiastic champions of transformation. Beyond strategy, I speak, write, and share insights through my blog and industry talks. I love connecting with like-minded professionals who are passionate about IT evolution. Let’s Connect!Whether you’re looking for a fresh perspective on IT strategy, a thought partner to exchange ideas with, or just someone who can make DevOps a little less painful—let’s talk!
