About Dula Deb

I am a fourth-year social work student who is minoring in community engagement and English Language and Literature studies at Carleton University. In terms of my direct experience, I have direct experience working with children and youth, women, immigrant populations and additional intersecting identities. When working with these populations, I found that policies were not up-to-date with the current concerns at hand. With that being said, I hope to gain more opportunities to do research and policy analysis to ensure more knowledge is spread about the present issues with these populations. Additionally, I have experience with utilizing and teaching the foundations of various creative writing methods and drama/theatre to provide children and youth advocacy tools to enhance practices on activism, self care and creative expression.
