Dulce Hirota, Tax Director for Latin America in PGIM Real Estate Investors, based in Mexico City. Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years’ experience advising clients regarding tax planning, consulting and compliance work related to resident and nonresident businesses, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence engagements as well as consulting on day to day tax matters. She also has experience in tax consultancy specializing in international taxes, advising resident and nonresident clients on the tax treatment of their investments and transactions abroad and assisting them with managing the day to day income tax matters, including review and lodgement of tax returns and advisory on leveraging the benefits contained in treaties to avoid double taxation signed by Mexico. Client base mainly of companies in the segments of Real Estate Investment Funds, Real Estate, Food & Beverage, Construction, Telecommunications, Energy, Entertainment, Transportation, Consumer goods, Apparel & accessories stores, etc. Her responsibilities include:*Preparation/review of all tax compliance including monthly and annual tax filings, income tax, flat tax, VAT, tax withholdings, excise tax and informative returns *Tax records and related reports to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations *Review and documenting any federal tax refunds *Audit or assessment from the Mexican Tax Authorities *Development of tax planning strategies *Analyzes proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations and judicial decisions that impact operations and financial position Prior to joining Prudential, Dulce was a tax partner at Solís Cámara, López Guerrero, S.C, a Mexican audit and tax services, consulting and advisory firm. Previously, Dulce worked at affiliated firms of Deloitte and Arthur Andersen as a Tax Manager and then rising to Tax Director in its tax and legal practice. Fluent in English and Spanish
