About Dulce Pineda

I'm an undergraduate student pursuing a major in Physiology and Neurobiology with a minor in Molecular and Cell Biology while also preparing for medical school. Given my degree, my coursework currently focuses on biochemistry, anatomy and organic chemistry. I am currently participating in the Nutrition/Diet and Neurological Disease lab at UConn. I hope to continue exploring my interest in cancer biology, anatomical studies and human diseases. In the future, I hope to be able to engage in work that helps address health care disparities and help provide high-quality healthcare to targeted communities. I strongly believe that education is a collaborative process that has allowed me to embrace my curiosity and share my passion for learning with others. Through my experiences I have become passionate about learning and helping others learn. As a first generation student being able to mentor others students through my experiences is really important to me.
