About Dulmaa Altangerel

I am a physicist majoring in solid-state physics, with a Ph.D. I have a great interest in thin films, plasma and vacuum based technology. During my research career, I have developed strong skills in designing experimental setups, along with expertise in spectroscopy and characterization of thin films using techniques such as XRD, EDX, SEM, XRR, ER-MS, etc. I was engaged in cutting-edge research as a post-doctoral assistant within the research group DRAFT at Ghent University. In this role, I focused on the deposition of sputter-coated films for energy-saving architectural and automotive glazing systems. I was responsible for carrying out and managing ongoing research for optical coatings to increase the performance. My general professional interest lies in thin film growth of different materials such as oxides, nitrides, and complex alloys, where I thrive on solving complex problems and recognizing their solutions and consequences, in order to optimize processes. I am a passionate and dedicated person who enjoys team work and collaboration for a better understanding and improvement of film growth and their processes.
