About Duncan Kenyon

Duncan Kenyon is a policy and public affairs specialist with over 7 years' experience in the profession. Duncan currently works as a Public Affairs Manager at the Institution of Civil Engineers. He works across numerous policy areas to promote and influence policy makers. He influences policy makers on many different infrastrcture projects, from Net Zero infrastructure to HS2. Duncan is also the Secretariat for the APPG on Infrastructure. Duncan currently undertakes a complex and interesting role. He is given a large amount of responsibility leading on maintaining and creating relationships with contacts. He creates and acts on public affairs strategies to influence Westminster politics. He has successfully managed to secure Written Parliamentary Questions and references to key policy asks within Westminster. He also represents ICE in meetings, with senior stakeholders and at Party Conferences. In previous roles, Duncan has a demonstrated a range of experience. He has shared responsibility for the Innovation Policy Panel and the Education and Skills Panel, supporting and leading on thought leadership and policy positions from these important areas. He has delivered a conference on digital skills, aimed at industry and academics, has delivered blogs and reports and is working on a breakthrough report examining ways to make work more innovative and effective. Duncan has successfully ran a campaign that included getting the UK Government to reverse tax policies in favour of manufacturing companies in the North East of England. This was through stakeholder mapping, using and acquiring new stakeholders.
