I am a qualified timber technologist with an extensive and varied career in the timber industry both at home in the UK and abroad. My commercial experience covers sawmilling and lumber processing of hardwood and softwood species, plywood manufacture, sales, marketing and general management before moving into service sector and starting my own technical consultancy with long term contracts being signed with two of America's largest industry trade asociations, APA - the Engineered Wood Association and the American Hardwood Export Council. Other technical activity has been with companies in Brazil and Ireland. Specialties: Extensive knowledge on plywood, its testing procedures and CE marking requirements. Identification of problems and providing solutions Managing technical programmes addressing a range of issues Undertaking generic promotion and awareness campaigns Developing technical educational literature Tackling new work for which I have had no experience Strategic planning & managing change
