About Duncan Shen

I am an entrepreneur born in Hong Kong and raised in United Kingdom, who speaks fluent Chinese as well as English. My characteristic has always been driven to innovate and do something different and face new challenges. Founded PlayKrown Entertainment in 2011, an events organisation for the Chinese/ oriental market, regularly organise club nights, balls, social gatherings and also concerts. By 2013 we were the biggest Oriental events company in London.I opened a Japanese restaurant in Hillingdon in 2017 after spotting a gap in the market, having recognised the potential in the area with new built homes, cross rail, businesses parks and went to University near by.My competitive nature with maths background and the love of football gave me an interest in spots trading, analysing teams performance data, statistics to trade on the betting exchange. Which led me to join a sports trading brokerage team in 2015 to learn more in depth about the markets. Outside of business I enjoy play Poker semi professionally, using my maths and odds compiling skills to beat the game. I am also a trained actor, with qualifications from MA academy in screen acting, been featured in a number of commercial adverts, audio book, web series etc.
