About Dustin Beeaff

I am interested in applied research of ceramics for new applications. Most recently, I have focuse on ionically conducting materials for solid electrolyte electrochemical devices, but my background includes a broad range of high temperature monolithic materials such as carbides and diborides as well as ceramic composite materials. My doctorate, from University of Missouri - Rolla, focused on modifying the structure of planar SOFC electrodes to increase mechanical robustness. This was followed by a post doctoral term at the Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy concentrating on mitigation of high temperature degradation of peripheral components. Additionally, I am trained as an OpEx (Lean/6 Sigma) Greenbelt project manager, with the ability to develop and implement strategies in a processing environment. I have endeavored to increase my leadership responsibilities, moving from being a junior research engineer with no technicians to having multiple projects to supervise.
