About Dustin Lowe

While in high school, I took a creative writing class that inspired me to come up with amazing stories and cemented my love for writing. I'm also an avid book reader and have read many fictional books of various genres. This love for reading eventually pushed me to find a job at my local library. As a page and library assistant, I've learned of all the ways that keep a library running. I have collaborated with my coworkers on many book projects, library programs and reading clubs. My time there made me realize I have a love for helping people and giving advice to those in need. Eventually I took over the Local History Room and completely overhauled and updated it. I cataloged all our books, set up special collections, and created a finding aid for patrons and staff to use. I graduated in 2021 at the Ohio State University Marion with a bachelors of English and a concentration in professional writing. I'm currently looking for opportunities in the publishing and library science fields. I also aspire to be an author and eventually publish novels. I know I'm just starting my life toward my ideal career and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
