About Dustin Mellinger

I am passionate about agriculture. Living and working on a dairy farm has showed me the necessity for future farmers. I am a hard worker and good with kids. But most importantly I am a Christian. I want to do something in agriculture. The passion I have for agriculture will drive me to work hard. If I would choose to go into a pastoral or missions career I would use my skills with children. Skills: Hardworking A leader Good people skills Flexible/Adaptable Tough Organizations: FFA Dates of participation : all of high school Description: Builds leadership in students and improves their skills in agricultural areas. Volunteer experiences: Missions trip with dove USA to Haiti. Dates of service: June 17th-27th 2014 It was cool to see God work in the lives of the Haitians and the team members. The work was hot and hard but the people made it fun. In FFA I was on an Ag. Mechanics CDE team. There was practice from March-June and competitions the week after school. Practice skills with plumbing, metal working, electrical, and masonry. These skills are used to build a jig. There is a limited amount of time to complete the jug. There are 50 tools to ID from a list of over 100, a masonry scenario, and a fertilizer scenario. There is also an agriculture machinery maintenance section.
