Through many years of retail sales experience, I learned the value of in-depth product knowledge, the importance of customer relations, and the value of positive customer experiences. Customers will always remember how you make them feel above all else. I also gained valuable time management, and effective communication skills. As a treatment counselor, I learned group management in a high-stress, high-liability environment. Clear, effective communication with team members, consistency in attendance and performance, setting clear and attainable expectations, and detailed documentation were all necessary skills to achieve safety, care and welfare for traumatized youth clientele. I have over a decade's experience in shipping and receiving, inventory and warehouse management, layaway and special-order management, training new employees for success with complicated systems and procedures, and managing multi-store inventory and transfers. During this time, I created and implemented new, effective and efficient procedures for cycle counting, inventory tracking, identification and reconciliation of errors, time- and cost-efficient project management, and supply fulfilment all within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
