About Dwayne B. Doc Thomas

With over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion, education, and business, I am a scholar/practitioner/leader who is passionate about creating and implementing innovative and sustainable solutions for complex challenges. As the Professor and Program Chair at Eastern Nazarene College, I oversee the curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, and accreditation of the Sport Management program, and teach courses on sport administration, leadership, and ethics. I also serve as the MSAA/MIAA DEI Committee Chair, and host the annual Youth Summit for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which attracts more than 400 student and staff participants from across Massachusetts. In addition, I am the Founder, Principal, and Chief Learning Strategist at Thomas Leadership Solutions, a global corporation that provides executives in education, business, and sports with creative and innovative solutions to meet global leadership, management, and administrative challenges. I have directed training and professional development programs and services in Africa, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, focusing on social and emotional learning, deconstruction of systemic racism, promotion of anti-racist systems, and sports-based youth development. I am also a Visiting Professor at Framingham State University, where I teach courses on sport management and international business. My areas of expertise include narrative transformation, reframing organizations, interests-rights-power analysis, media and popular culture analysis, and institutional politics. I have published multiple academic articles and dissertations on these topics, and I am fluent in Spanish.
