About Dwayne Ghee

Dwayne H. Ghee Jr. is a May 2021 graduate of the Myers-Lawson school of Construction at Virginia Tech. Dwayne was born and raised in Charles City, Virginia, a small county 25 miles outside of Richmond, Virginia. While attending Charles City High School he was a member of the National Honor Society and acted as a captain on both the varsity basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from Charles City High School with honors. While attending Virginia Tech, Dwayne maintained a 2.69 GPA. He also held a leadership position in Students of Hip Hop Legacy (SoHHL). As Co-Director of Small Events, Dwayne was responsible for the organization of club events on campus. Dwayne also earned two internships at Dominion Energy, where he worked as a Customer Projects Design Intern. In this position, he shadowed project designers as they designed jobs and processed paperwork within the company’s system. He also was tasked with researching new technologies that would help designers complete tasks more accurately and efficiently. His findings were presented to leaders in the design department. Upon graduation from Virginia Tech, Dwayne hopes to earn an entry-level position at a company within the residential construction industry. He has been interested in the construction industry since he was a child. In the future, Dwayne plans to use the knowledge he has gained in his experiences to start his own property management company. In his free time, Dwayne loves to play sports and stay active.
