About Dwayne Price

I am the Head of Risk Advisory in Grant Thornton, a group of more than 100 professionals across three dedicated teams: Quantitative Risk, Regulatory and Actuarial Advisory. I joined Grant Thornton in 2016 as a Partner to head up the firm’s FS risk and regulatory advisory services offering in our FS Advisory unit. Sector experience I have worked with a range of EU, ECB/ SSM supervised domestic and international banks, investment firms, and the European Central Bank (ECB) across risk, regulatory, change and transaction project in recent times. Previously, I held a senior role in the Central Bank of Ireland as Head of Banking Supervision: Analysis Division. In this role, I was responsible for managing and leading a large team across six functional areas ranging from Stress Testing, Risk Models, Supervisory Policy, Recovery Planning and Licence Authorisation. I held a central position in the post-2008-2013 crisis management of the Central Bank and I was a key architect of the many of the reforms in Banking Supervision. I hold a first class honours MSc in Investment & Treasury and an honours degree in Business Studies, both from DCU Business School. I finished third overall in my MSc class and was awarded first class honours for my thesis.
