Over the past 10+ years, I have built a solid reputation as the go-to Drilling Operations Manager for helping Fortune 500 upstream oil and gas companies safely and successfully execute their offshore exploration projects across the US and abroad.Launching my career as a Technical Sales and Account Management Specialist for North America, Middle East and Asia Pacific divisions with Baker Hughes, I transitioned after 9+ years to take on some of Chevron's most challenging offshore drilling / completion projects in Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Australia, Angola and Kazakhstan. With a strong track record of successfully drilling unpredictable Norphlet wells in high pressure reservoirs with up to ft sub-salt structures, bottom hole temperatures greater than 350 degrees Fahrenheit and well depths between 3,500’ and 6,700’ of water, I can solve just about any operations issue a company might face.My hands-on leadership style prioritizes people over self-promotion, and I bring this mentality to each and every operation I execute.This is primarily why I have appreciated working for 20+ years with companies like Chevron and Baker Hughes that value highly motivated, hardworking individuals willing to roll up their sleeves until the job is done.I not only guide teams to achieve best-in-class operations and safety standards, I lead by example – getting my hands dirty on site from rig setup to tear down.I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M, and 2 patents on System and Method for Actuating Wellbore Tools and Fluid Pressure Deactivated Thru-Tubing Centralizer.Some of my career impacts include: Drilling / Completion Exploration: Executed drilling operations for 3 wells in Deepwater Gulf of Mexico through complex salt formations at water depths to and ft MD prior to hitting the pay zone in the Wilcox, flowing each well back to drillship for testing. Technical Sales & Account Management: Boosted global revenue from $30M to $130M in only 3 years for a major Fortune Global 500 multinational company. Joint Venture Operations: Led 2 major non-operated joint venture (NOJV) drilling operations projects for client / operators Hess and Shell drilling complex, volatile wells in 3,500’ water with ft sub-salt structures, 2 ppg pressure regression below salt, 3 pay zones and tar-based subsurface hazards in the Miocene up to ft MD.
