About Dwight Douget

I am currently working as a Fabrication Engineer for McDermott International. I have worked in the Fabrication Engineering field for a little over 6 years, gaining information about weld types, steel types, and other aspects of fabrication that were unknown to me. Although I went to school for Electronic Engineering Technology, the experience that I am gaining in my current position can be applied in numerous fields. I believe that with the knowledge of my degree and troubleshooting and the experience that I have gained thus far in the structural fabrication & manufacturing field as well as for pipe fabrication, I would be a valuable asset to any company's team. For example: • During my education at McNeese, I was selected to represent the Engineering Technology Department to participate in the Undergraduate Scholar Program. • My engineering role at CB & I has placed me with many engineers with an array of engineering disciplines which allows me to participate and witness first hand how one problem can be solved in a number of ways, giving me more possible outcomes to plan for while facing issues. • My positions in retail have allowed me to gain an insight into customer's minds allowing me to become more neutral and diplomatic at conflict resolution. • With technology becoming a key role in our world today, I believe that my degree choice and experience have put me in the right position to adapt and take on new challenges as we move forward. This allows me to understand both the outer and inner workings of the tools that we use every day, and use them both at home and in the workplace.
