Background
About Dylan Adkins
My name is Dylan Adkins. I am from Branchland, WV, and I’m a WVU alumnus with a B.S. in Agriculture having studied agroecology and applied and environmental microbiology. My passion for protecting the Appalachian environment drives me to pursue sustainability in the region and the preservation of native habitats. I'm interested in ethnobotanical topics such as the use of plants for food, medicine, cosmetics, and spiritual purposes, and this provides me with a deeper connection to the land as well as to those who have used its resources for millennia. At my workplace I hope to make a positive difference in how today's Appalachians respect and value the landscapes we call home.
