I completed a semester internship at Casa Colina Rehabilitation Hospital. I worked in the Out-Patient and Children’s Services departments, helping P.T.’s and O.T.’s assist patients with various disabilities. I completed over four ride-alongs with the L.A. County Coroner and Forensic Attendant Departments. I have assisted multiple Coroner Investigators and Forensic Attendants. I have prepared various deceased bodies and their personnel for transport, including removing personal items off the decedents, such as earrings and other jewelry. I have always used major precautions for my own safety, as well as for the respect of the decedents. I successfully helped process some decedents through the printing and attachment of identification cards. I recorded height and weight of decedents. I have used the live-scan machine in order to finger print decedents and complete proper processing of the bodies. I am using this experience in the Coroner field to apply to become a Coroner Investigator, which is my main career goal. As a shift foreman at Vanguard Tool and Manufacturing, I supervised a press machine, which manufactures metal file fasteners and hanging folder rods. My main duty included turning the machine on/off and packaging all Vanguard's products into the appropriate shipping containers.
