Optus level 3 Fibre Technician working within the FAD1, FAD2 & FAD3 scope of works with 10 years experience * I have work within and dealt with multiple teams of the Optus environment; Project Engineering, Service Assurance as well as Customer based work scopes * Cable damage call outs and rectification and fault finding * Splice and test optical fibre (OTDR) testing both in the dark and live network sectors * Installed and spliced fibres into external pit joints (FIST BE6 & BC6, FOSC and MK1) and internal rack mounted/wall mounted patch equipment in MDF, data and communication rooms.* Spliced and hauled on various cable sizes ranging from 12F-312F * Hauling of external fibre cables through conduits from pit to pit,(P50-P100 conduit range)* Installing of fibre cables from external pits into mobile GSM sites, along cable trays to required communication rack locations for prepared splicing work * Assisting in trench digging, pit and pipe instalment, aswell as holding a current certified excavator driving ticket * Running of internal fibres through bare fibre, conduit and corrugated conduit through roof spaces, floor spaces and between risers levels * Strong flexible working hours through my current role with the Optus Service Assurance team which requires call outs (day, afternoon and night) aswell as planned PTW work scope for night shift
