My photographic career includes covering NBA and NFL in the United States, traveling to Korea with former US president Jimmy Carter, accompanying the now King Charles and Queen Camilla on their visit to South Australia’s Barossa Valley, photographing the last seven Australian Prime ministers including current Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, working as chief photographer for a monthly magazine in Mexico, documenting polar bears on the melting sea ice of Russia and the High Arctic to covering jungle warfare operations in Malaysia. In addition to my extensive experience as a photographer, I also have worked on picture desks including as picture editor of South Australia’s biggest newspaper, News Corp’s Sunday Mail and Sunday Magazine and more recently as the picture editor of Nine and News Corp’s national wire, Australian Associated Press during the horrific 2019-2020 Australian bushfire season and the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. After AAP I joined Nine as their Sydney Morning Herald picture editor of Saturday print. I have over twenty years of photography and picture editing experience and have worked on important projects in ten countries. I have won awards in the media industry including three Archbishop’s awards for the promotion of truth, integrity, and fairness in media. ​ I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Visual Arts degree from Griffith University's Queensland College of Arts. I am a recipient of the Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence. I currently live in Sydney, Australia where I’m working as a commercial, entertainment, and publicity photographer with popular shows including Nine's Love Island Australia(Spain), MAFS and Lego Masters 4, ABC’s Compass, Mastermind, Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery and Play School, SBS’ Mastermind, Warner Bros. Celebrity Apprentice, Network Ten’s Shark Tank, and Seven Network’s Australia’s Got Talent(AGT) and Kitchen Nightmares to name a few. I’m also continued as a part-time picture editor and photographer for Australia's most read masthead, Sydney Morning Herald, and a freelance picture editor and photographer for News Corp’s national NewsWire servicing many major metro mastheads across Australia.
