About Dylan Engel

I am a 2023 graduate from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Photography. I have been a growing Photographer for the last 4 years. I have formerly interned at: the Mankato MoonDogs as the Team Photographer Intern in 2022, the Sioux Falls Canaries as the Full-time Multimedia Intern in 2023, and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks as the Photo/Video Intern in 2024. I currently freelance as a Sports Photographer for Minnesota State University, Mankato. A few accomplishments I am proud of: World Sports Photography Awards 2025 - Photograph Finalist in the Baseball Category (x2)- Photograph Finalist in the Ice Hockey Category Minnesota Newspaper Association (MNA) Better Newspaper Contest in February of 2024- 1st Place Photo (News and Feature)- 2nd Place Photo (Sports)- 1st Place Editorial (Shared) Minnesota Newspaper Association (MNA) Better Newspaper Contest in January of 2023- 2nd Place Photo (News, Sports, Feature, and Photo Story)- 3rd Place Photo (News) Eagle Scout rank on June 11th, 2016. I am a dedicated, passionate, and detail-oriented person who puts all my energy into everything I do.
