As a Software QA Engineer at ProteinSimple, a leading provider of protein analysis tools, I apply my knowledge and skills in biochemistry, neuroscience, and molecular and cellular biology to ensure the quality and reliability of the software products. I have over two years of experience in this role, where I perform various testing activities, such as functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing. My passion for biotechnology and lifesciences stems from my academic background in neuroscience, where I obtained a BS degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During my studies, I learned and practiced various laboratory techniques, such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, spectrophotometry, and bacteriophage isolation. I also gained exposure to web-based biotechnology, such as genome analysis, protein structure analysis, and phylogenetic analyses, using the SARS-CoV-2 virus as a model. I am a fast learner, a team player, and a problem solver, who values continuous improvement and innovation.
