Background

About Dylan Gray

My name is Dylan Gray, I represent the Class of 2025 within the Red Lion Area Senior High School, and I am a First-Year Finance major at York College of Pennsylvania. All my life, I wanted to make an impact for not only myself, but for my family, and the family I wish to start one day. I have always been a creative and hard-working kid, from the time I was getting good grades at Mazie Gable elementary school, to being a 13 year old building an online presence, all the to these recent years of networking and building my financial knowledge to pursue a career in Investment Banking. At the young age of 16, I started learning how to Day Trade, and my love for the Stock Market, Financial, and Technical Analysis only grew. By 19, I see myself being a successful retail trader, online business owner, real estate flipper, and a hard-working Bank Teller/College Freshmen at York College. The 4 years I spent a Red Lion Area Senior High School will forever be apart of me. The lessons I learned, along with the connections and memories I made there have shaped my thinking and helped prepare me for the post-secondary education I need. More specifically, the valuable skills such as marketing, sales, budgeting, networking, and even basic accounting concepts and JavaScript coding will help me further push towards my career and long-term goals. Along with that, my experiences outside the classroom within my club, FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, and my YCAL Field Trips, gave me the insight and head start I need on how to be the best version of myself in the business world. My risk-taking, networking, and fund-raising skills and be credited to those events. I will never forget coming up with a goodie-bag fund-raising idea with my FBLA peers and building a, what seemed to be like, great plan around it. However, once it was started, it completely failed. No one pre-order the items, thus no profit was made. Being the head of fund-raising for the club, I was disappointed, but after learning what went wrong, my peers and I were able bounce back with a rubber duck sale in the school cafeteria, and making around $100-$200 profit within 1 week, following with another Spring fund-raising idea, making around $100 profit within a week as well. Some of my other senior year accomplishments can include- Class of 2025 Business Department Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement - Pepsi Business Scholarship Award for - 3x Honor Roll Student - 3.7 Weighted GPA
