Hi, I'm Dylan Jackson. I kickstarted my academic pursuits at King Edward VII School, later matriculating from Edenvale High School in 2013. My passion for sports and the human psyche led me to the University of Johannesburg. There, I earned a BA in Sports Psychology from 2014 to 2016, followed by an Honours in Biokinetics in 2017. While my core education revolved around biomechanics and rehabilitation techniques, I further honed my skills with certifications in First Aid Levels 1, 2 & 3, and a special focus on biomechanics' practical application. Complementing my educational prowess, I've achieved Level 1 Coaching certificates in both Hockey and Rowing. Starting my career as a Biokineticist in Bedfordview, South Africa, I delved deep into patient consultations, rehab programs, and health assessments. This role enriched me with hands-on experience in managing a spectrum of ailments, from chronic diseases to sports injuries. My journey in education began at Edenvale High School, South Africa, as a High School Maths Teacher. There, I managed classroom dynamics, curriculum delivery, and even took the reins as the Sports Coach for hockey and football teams, overseeing U14 to U18 age groups. Transitioning roles, I spearheaded a team as an NTP Team Leader at Fleet Tutors, Farnborough, UK, where I streamlined processes, ensured client satisfaction, and oversaw tutor allocations. My role as a Product Advisor at Wealden Rehab Ltd was a testament to my client-centric approach, as I collaborated closely with healthcare professionals, customizing equipment to cater to unique client needs. Currently, as a Lecturer in Sports and Public Services, I'm on a mission to mold the next generation.
