About Dylan Jones

For the last five years I have worked as a chef in the hotel industry. Starting as an apprentice I adapted quickly to my role and proved to be an integral member of the team. After only 3 years, I had been promoted to junior sous and oversaw my own team of chefs. My leadership style has a heavy focus on people. Whether that means managing my team well, and keeping them motivated, or consistently producing a service aimed towards the needs of the customer. Under my care, we have received a BBC goodfood award as well as becoming one of the top 50 restaurants in Bristol on Tripadvisor. What drives me as an individual is growth. I am constantly striving to learn and push myself. Whether that be in my hobbies like bouldering, where I will often break down my weaknesses and put special focus into how I can improve. My work, where I keep up with modern food trends and techniques. For the last year I have also been studying I.T & maths part time with the open university. My studies feel like they have been the start of a new chapter of my life. I am now looking for the opportunity to use the strengths I have taken from my career in hospitality into my love of customer service and computers and continue to challenge and grow as a person.
