About Dylan Litherland

Hey there! I'm an electrical engineering graduate from the University of Florida, now back in Florida with my amazing wife and our newborn son. Currently, I'm working remotely for Cognituv, where I've been diving deep into many tasks for the past couple of years. From CAD design to control box wiring, and ray tracing simulations to analytics for light treatment, I've had my hands in a wide range of projects. My role involves wearing multiple hats - from developing quotes and creating cost-of-goods analyses to crafting marketing materials and even handling part and vendor selections. My experience also spans product design, where I've worked extensively with sheet metal and electronics. One of the projects I'm particularly proud of is Steady Head, a device aimed at helping new golfers understand their swing better. I’m also quite fond of creating calculators for solution effectiveness and cost reductions. Outside of work, my wife and I share a love for hiking. We recently embarked on an anniversary babymoon trip throughout the western US, from Texas to Colorado. It was an incredible journey that let us see all new habitats and geological structures never seen by us Southern Illinoisans. I'm on a mission to become a "good" golfer (emphasis on trying!) and I love hitting the gym to stay active. In my downtime, you'll often find me engrossed in YouTube videos discussing STEM topics or diving into video games like Technology Connections, Wintergatan, Yogscast, Cody's Lab, vSauce, and many more. I'm always open to connecting with fellow enthusiasts or professionals who share similar passions.
