From an early age I always found myself to have a passion for science, perhaps it was my ability to pick up the new skills required for a proficiency in science or maybe it was the fact I work well both independently and in groups. Throughout my time in secondary school I found myself always looking forward to the next science class. This passion has been carried forward into my college education and it this passion which will allow me excel and adapt to any role or challenge presented to me. During the course of my studies in college I conducted a research project on the characterization of the fatty acid profile in various commercial rapeseed oil samples using gas chromatography, this project allowed me to greatly develop my skills in gas chromatography.
