About Dylan Missen

I’m a hospitality professional with over 12 years of experience in the industry. I began working in hospitality at 18, gaining hands-on experience across various departments, before making the transition to start working with them and supplying them. Raised in Auckland, I’ve had the privilege of learning and growing in an environment that fuels my passion for service, teamwork, and excellence. Most of the skills I’ve developed over the years have been self-taught, and I pride myself on my ability to learn on the job, work hard, and deliver results. What excites me about the hospitality industry is its dynamic nature and the chance to connect with people from all walks of life. I believe in the value of hard work, continuous improvement, and fostering meaningful relationships—whether that’s with colleagues, clients, or customers. Outside of work, I’m an avid NBA and football (soccer) fan, with a love for cooking and exploring new foods. I’m also passionate about travel and immersing myself in different cultures. I’ve been fortunate to visit the USA, Japan, China, the UK, Portugal, Germany, and Australia—experiences that have deepened my appreciation for diversity and fueled my desire to connect with and learn from people with different backgrounds. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals and people from different backgrounds, and I’m eager to collaborate with those who share a love for food, the food service industry, and always looking to improve.
